Red Rock Resort

Off the Strip by several miles and closer to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Red Rock Casino Resort is a property of Station Casinos, which made its mark in Vegas by appealing to those who actually live there. But Red Rock is as fancy and decadent as any on the Strip, with a masculine design of crimson and burnt orange and a chain of more than 3.1m Swarovski and Preciosa crystals (measuring 99 miles) hanging throughout the resort. During the summer, Red Rock opened a 7,000-seat outdoor amphitheatre, and its pool concert series is one of the most popular of its kind in the city.

Aria at CityCenter

Photograph: Gene Blevins/LA Daily News/Corbis

The centrepiece of the 67-acre CityCenter, Aria is where you play it big in Vegas. There are 4,004 guest rooms, and that doesn’t count the theatre where Elvis still lives, in the Cirque du Soleil production Viva Elvis. The vast, dark-wood-designed hotel and casino is filled with water features, including fountains that greet guests at the porte-cochère. Public art is heavily featured: guests at reception are met with artist Maya Lin’s Silver River sculpture, which greatly resembles … well, a silver river. Aria is home to more than 16 restaurants, including those operated by star chefs Michael Mina (American Fish) and Masayoshi Takayama (Bar Masa and Shaboo).

Bellagio

Bellagio, Las Vegas.

One of the big “wow” events in recent Vegas history was the opening of Bellagio, which ushered in the era of the “mega-resort” in October 1998. The splashy Fountains at Bellagio water show at the front of the hotel, envisioned by hotel founder Steve Wynn, continues to halt traffic on the Strip. Inside, the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens change with the seasons. Looming at the registration desk is a glass sculpture designed by the artist Dale Chihuly. The resort is home to the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art, also a Wynn vision. In the 40-table poker room hangs a painting by LeRoy Neiman, titled simply (and appropriately) The Game.

Wynn Encore

Photograph: Eric Kabik/Corbis

Encore opened as a twin to the equally giant Wynn in late-2008, and the two properties represent Steve Wynn’s greatest hits: fantastic restaurants, an interior design of canopies and coffered ceilings that bring to mind the effects of Bellagio. Upon opening, the resort threw a stack of cash and the use of a private jet to country music superstar Garth Brooks, booking his one-man show in the theatre next to Le Rêve. Appropriately, those shows meet in the middle of these hotels. For outdoor entertainment, try the Encore Beach Club, which sits nearly atop the Strip and is one of the finest pool clubs in town.

Venetian-Palazzo

Gondoliers steer you through the Venetian, welcoming guests to the waterway that cuts through a replica of St Mark’s Square. Strolling performers sing operatic tunes, and it is all played out in a winding, pedestrian retail centre known as the Grand Canal Shops. The Venetian opened in May 1999, followed in 2007 by the Palazzo next door. Some of the city’s great shows and restaurants are here: Jersey Boys, Phantom – The Las Vegas Spectacular and the Blue Man Group. Lagasse’s Stadium at Palazzo is one of the city’s finest sports books, the only place in the city where you can find a man watching sport in the jersey of his favourite team, shouting at a big screen and devouring a banana creme pie dessert conceived by Lagasse himself.

Caesars Palace

Photograph: Ethan Miller/Reuters/Corbis

Caesars opened in 1966, has been known as one of the last standing haunts of the Rat Pack, the site of some of the greatest prizefights in history, and the spot where daredevil Evel Knievel went tea-over-teakettle in a 1967 motorcycle leap. These days, the stars are Celine Dion, Elton John and Rod Stewart. All take the stage at various times at the 4,100-seat Colosseum. Another popular show is Absinthe, held in a big white tent in the hotel’s Roman Plaza, near its entrance. One of the city’s first Strip retail centres, the Forum Shops, remains an ideal place to fling your credit card or put that blackjack hot streak to good use.

Cosmopolitan

Cosmopolitan Hotel, Las Vegas.

If the Mirage launched the mega-resort era in Vegas, the Cosmopolitan seems to be its bookend. Built next to CityCenter, the resort stacks 2,995 rooms – the majority of which offer terraces and views of the Strip. Tucked into the Marquee nightclub, a three-storey party space, is an enclave known as the Library, where guests shoot pool and read Vegas-centric books, The signature gathering spot is the Chandelier bar, a bedazzled, multi-decked haven of hobnobbing. A pizzeria called, simply, Pizzeria, sits down an unmarked hallway, giving the impression you sort of have to know somebody to find the place. The concert and party centre, Boulevard Pool, is positioned high above the Strip.

Mandarin Oriental

Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas.

Perhaps the coolest floor in all of Vegas is the 23rd at the Mandarin Oriental, where the Mandarin Bar overlooks the Strip on one end and Pierre Gagnaire’s Twist looks out from the other. This is a non-gaming hotel, it has no grand theatre or any sort of resident production show or headliner. But it is one chic spot, with live jazz playing from the Mandarin Bar and visitors reclining in the lounge next to the reception. Yes, that is on the 23rd floor, too, a spot called the Sky Lobby. The hotel provides one of the great escapes in Las Vegas, a 27,000sqft.

Mandalay Bay

Photograph: Ethan Miller/Getty Images

Laden with deeply coloured floor tiling in its valet entrance and a uniquely curious fragrance that hints at citrus, Mandalay Bay is a genuine mega-resort with 3,300 rooms, and filled with an array of entertainment venues. The 12,000-seat Mandalay Bay Events Center hosts boxing and mixed-martial arts events, the House of Blues features emerging and contemporary pop acts. Upstairs two venues provide terrific views of the Strip: the cozy, pop art-laden Foundation Room and MIX restaurant and nightclub. Shark Reef, the watery walking park filled with sharks and other exotic, aquatic creatures, is the quintessential fun-for-the-entire-family attraction.

Mirage

Photograph: Alamy

The Mirage can often be overlooked these days, as more gargantuan resorts have sprouted since it’s breathtaking opening in 1989. Siegfried & Roy once performed here, and these days the Beatles (with the Cirque du Soleil production Love) and a master ventriloquist (theatre headliner Terry Fator) rule the entertainment scene. Inside, the casino floor is shrouded in tropical surroundings. Guests walk through a glass atrium that lets the sun shine in, hearing the soothing sounds of a waterfall over the action at the casino. Mirage has been upgraded to keep pace with its taller competition, and is still one of the city’s major players on the Strip.

Suno AI music has apparently revolutionized the music-making landscape by using sophisticated AI to make original compositions. The platform suggests prompts and ideas to spark creativity, which means artists can personalize their AI-generated songs with unique lyrics.

The latest version, Suno AI V3, processes musical patterns and trends to quickly generate complete tracks, streamlining music production and making it more accessible. It adapts to various musical genres and styles, catering to user tastes.

The tool includes user involvement in the creative process, allowing them to change the music toward their preferred genres and themes. This approach transforms conventional music creation methods, promoting limitless creativity and innovation in the field.

How to use Suno AI?
Setting up your account

There is a streamlined sign-up process to make it easy to get started. Once registered, find the dashboard, where users can access all of the essential tools for composing a musical masterpiece.

To start creating songs, first register for a free account at suno.com. Click on “Sign Up / Log In” and choose a service to use for your account, such as Discord, Google, or Microsoft. You will then need to allow Suno to access your chosen third-party account.

Using the dashboard

The dashboard is user-friendly, as there is easy access to features such as style selection, lyric and theme input, music element customization, song collaboration, and sharing of your creations.

Creating your first song with Suno AI

When you’re ready to create your first song, start by using the Simple Mode. Simply click on “Create.” Make sure that Custom Mode is turned off, then provide a song description of up to 200 words. Being as detailed as possible increases the chances that the song will be what you expect.

We used the prompt: Write a song about AI and produced this:

Choosing a style and genre

Suno AI has a wide selection of musical styles and genres. Whether you’re into vibrant pop, electronic, folk, or tranquil acoustic vibes, there are a fair few options to choose from.

Inputting your lyrics

If you’d like your song to feature lyrics and vocals, Suno AI will automatically create them for you. But if you prefer an instrumental piece, just switch the Instrumental toggle to remove the lyrics. Custom Mode has quite a few options compared to Simple Mode, including a feature where you can add your own lyrics. You can also describe the song you want and click “Generate Lyrics,” which will make Suno craft the lyrics for you.

Alternatively, opt for “Make Random Lyrics” if you want Suno to handle the lyric creation entirely.

If you already have some catchy rhymes or specific ideas, this is your opportunity to customize the song. Use metatags like [verse] or [chorus] to structure your song effectively. Other helpful metatags include [dramatic verse], [melodic chorus], and for instrumental sections, [break] and [bass drop].

Using themes for song creation

Themes provide a narrative backbone so that your song has more depth and cohesion. Choose a theme like love, resilience, or adventure to add hidden layers and more meaning to your work.

Customizing the music

Adjusting the tempo and key can change the feel of your song, helping to figure out the ideal rhythm and mood to match your lyrics. Click on “Create” and activate the Custom toggle at the top of the screen. From there, you can choose the model you wish to use — version 3.5 is the most recent and offers the best performance.

This screenshot shows the user interface of Suno AI's Custom Mode. The window displays options for song creation, including writing lyrics or choosing to make random lyrics, opting for an instrumental version, and setting the music style. It also features the ability to extend songs and a welcoming message that encourages creativity. The sidebar includes tabs like Home, Create, Library, and Search, with an option to upload audio. The layout is designed to facilitate easy navigation and interaction for music creation on Suno AI.

Adding instruments and effects

Include various instruments and effects to intensify the richness of your song. Experiment with guitars, drums, and audio effects like reverb to boost the quality of your music.

Collaborating with Suno AI

Users can co-create and exchange ideas, sharing the creative process and the final musical product. If you click the copy icon next to a song, it will generate a link that allows others to listen to your tune. By clicking the ellipsis (…) next to a tune in the song section, you can download the tune, add it to a playlist, or choose “Share” to send it to someone specific.

Using advanced tools
Using mixing and mastering features

Suno AI V3’s advanced mixing and mastering tools let you fine-tune every aspect of your music, achieving professional-quality sound. The platform supports a variety of vocal styles and effects, enabling you to add unique character and emotion to your songs.

Formats and quality options

Users can export their songs in various formats, including MP3, WAV, or FLAC. Suno AI also provides adjustable quality settings, enabling users to alter the audio resolution to meet their specific needs. As a result, creators can customize their exported songs to fit particular requirements or platforms.

Saving your projects

Make sure to regularly save your projects on Suno AI to keep your creative work, so you can return to and refine your compositions and songs whenever you feel inspired. Keep in mind that Suno retains ownership of all content generated through its service, although it allows you to download songs for personal use. Just be aware that you may not own the rights to the next viral pop hit.

Microsoft AI CEO claims internet content is ‘freeware’ for AI training use https://prizeparagongames.net/microsoft-ai-ceo-claims-internet-content-is-freeware-for-ai-training-use/ https://prizeparagongames.net/microsoft-ai-ceo-claims-internet-content-is-freeware-for-ai-training-use/#respond Tue, 02 Jul 2024 12:39:21 +0000 https://prizeparagongames.net/?p=72369

Microsoft AI CEO, Mustafa Suleyman, has stated that all internet content is free for AI model training, sparking a backlash. In a CNBC interview, Suleyman minimized worries about AI firms using intellectual property, saying that the practice of freely using publicly accessible online content has been established for years.

“I think that with respect to content that’s already on the open web, the social contract of that content since the ’90s has been that it is fair use. Anyone can copy it, recreate with it, reproduce with it,” he commented. “That has been ‘freeware,’ if you like, that’s been the understanding.”

Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman: the social contract for content that is on the open web is that it’s “freeware” for training AI models pic.twitter.com/FN1xrqnJC0

— Tsarathustra (@tsarnick) June 26, 2024

The tech leader added that unless a publisher or news organization explicitly requests not to “scrape or crawl” their content other than for indexing, AI companies can use it to train AI models.

He said, “There’s a separate category where a website, or a publisher, or a news organization had explicitly said ‘do not scrape or crawl me for any other reason than indexing me so that other people can find this content.’ That’s a grey area, and I think it’s going to work its way through the courts.”

Suleyman’s comment about the unclear legal boundaries for AI model training is reflected through recent legal actions. Following his remarks, the Center for Investigative Reporting filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its principal investor, Microsoft, alleging unauthorized use of the nonprofit’s content without permission or compensation.

According to the docket, AI checker Copyleaks found that nearly 60 per cent of the responses provided by ChatGPT-3.5 contained some form of plagiarized content, and over 45 per cent contained text that was identical to pre-existing content.

This lawsuit is in line with similar legal challenges from The New York Times and around eight other media organizations.

Users react to Microsoft CEO AI comments

Several users posted their reactions on X, disagreeing with the Microsoft CEO’s view on available content being part of a “social contract,” free for use to train AI models.

Wrong, @mustafasuleyman. There has however been a ‘social contract since the 90’s’ that Microsoft makes bloatware. It SHOULD be freeware but now your company is brazenly stealing all of human expression by reducing it to ‘content’. Shame on you. https://t.co/lN9JjXNE3u

— Jörg Tittel (@newjorg) June 29, 2024

Ghouls. They’re getting rich from making plagiarism machines.

Microsoft’s AI boss thinks it’s perfectly OK to steal content if it’s on the open web / Mustafa Suleyman has a curious understanding of copyright law on the web.https://t.co/U56Isn9jGf

— Todd Vaziri (@tvaziri) June 29, 2024

One user said: “It SHOULD be freeware but now your company is brazenly stealing all of human expression by reducing it to ‘content’,” while another said it was the equivalent of a “plagiarism machine.”

How to get Two-Handed Sword Talisman in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree https://prizeparagongames.net/how-to-get-two-handed-sword-talisman-in-elden-ring-shadow-of-the-erdtree/ https://prizeparagongames.net/how-to-get-two-handed-sword-talisman-in-elden-ring-shadow-of-the-erdtree/#respond Tue, 02 Jul 2024 11:58:53 +0000 https://prizeparagongames.net/?p=72366

If you’re not familiar with how much Talismans can affect your Elden Ring game then picking up and equipping this specific one will change all of that.

We’re talking about the Two-Handed Sword Talisman here and as you would expect from the name of this one, it’ll help you two-handed users.

But, to get this Talisman, you will have to head off the beaten path.

Here, we’ll take you through exactly how to get to the Two-Handed Sword Talisman in Shadow of the Erdtree so you can boost your two-handed power.

Where to find Two-Handed Sword Talisman in Shadow of the Erdtree

The Two-Handed Sword Talisman is located within the Temple Town Ruins, specifically, right at the top of the area, inside a small room.

If you haven’t discovered the Temple Town Ruins though, it is somewhat hidden, so let’s talk about how to get there easily.

First start at Moorth Ruins, head northeast, and go through the tunnel north of the small body of water.

Carry on and through the poison area, following the path round to the Ancient Ruins Base Site of Grace.

Then, you can go west/southwest, and if you carry on long enough, you should come across the Temple Town Ruins.

There is also a Site of Grace close by, just a little northwest, so grab that in case of any issues.

Once you’re in the Ruins, just progress through to the top structure as previously mentioned, head into the room, and open the chest to receive the Two-Handed Sword Talisman.

Now you can simply equip it and you’ll receive a substantial buff when utilizing any weapon in a two-handed fashion – more than worth doing a little exploring for!

Netflix streaming rival Tubi expands with over 20,000 titles https://prizeparagongames.net/netflix-streaming-rival-tubi-expands-with-over-20000-titles/ https://prizeparagongames.net/netflix-streaming-rival-tubi-expands-with-over-20000-titles/#respond Tue, 02 Jul 2024 11:54:52 +0000 https://prizeparagongames.net/?p=72363

Ad-supported streaming service Tubi brings its library of over 20,000 titles to the UK.

After launching successfully in the US and Canada, gathering 80 million monthly active users, Tubi is now coming to the UK. The ad-based streaming service has a library of over 20,000 movies and TV shows to watch on demand, besting Netflix’s offering of over 17,000.

While Tubi has less than half of the active monthly users than Netflix, that could be set to change. Tubi is free to the user, making income from ads rather than subscription fees. It has partnered with a range of broadcasters and studios, including Disney, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, and Sony Pictures Entertainment, to bring big titles to the platform and create its own original content.

What is Tubi TV?

At a time when other streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video are hiking prices, Tubi has gathered users by remaining free and promising a “low ad load”. Tubi will launch in the UK on Monday, July 15 and will welcome some classic British movies to the platform to celebrate the occasion. There are other specialized titles too, including Bollywood and Nollywood films, and Arthouse Cinema.

It already hosts some UK TV shows, such as Doctor Who, Line of Duty, and other BBC and ITV shows and is expected to continue such partnerships moving forward.

“At a time when traditional programming feels homogenous and when finding what to watch feels like a chore, Tubi has been effective at delivering delight beyond the monoculture with content that appeals to diverse and vibrant fandoms,” Managing Director of International at Tubi David Salmon told T3.

“We believe that we can build a brilliantly broad, culturally ambitious offering that puts UK audiences back at the centre, and makes it fun and easy to enjoy great entertainment from around the world.”

The app will be available across iOS, Android, on the web and eventually on major smart TV platforms.

Whisky Tango Foxtrot is going on with Call of Duty? New leaked Extra Crispy skin turns your enemies into fried chicken https://prizeparagongames.net/whisky-tango-foxtrot-is-going-on-with-call-of-duty-new-leaked-extra-crispy-skin-turns-your-enemies-into-fried-chicken/ https://prizeparagongames.net/whisky-tango-foxtrot-is-going-on-with-call-of-duty-new-leaked-extra-crispy-skin-turns-your-enemies-into-fried-chicken/#respond Tue, 02 Jul 2024 11:50:31 +0000 https://prizeparagongames.net/?p=72360

There was a time before all the skins and microtransaction nonsense that Call of Duty was a military shooter based on realistic scenarios. Now it seems the mobile version at least is taking aim at games like Fortnite and offering up kerrrrrazy options for those that want their soldiers to wear giant chicken suits.

Much like K-Pop stars coming to PUBG the Extra Crispy bundle offers nothing to the game for those that do not want to revel in the stupidity of it all.

A quick watch of the trailer and you find yourself checking the date to make sure it’s not April 1st already. Indeed, part of me still thinks it must be a prank after the trailer was leaked.

Okay so the trailer is well done but it’s like having a fever dream as chicken soldiers jump out of helicopters and with the simple act of shooting enemies turn them into giant pieces of fried chicken.

Needless to say, the response on the internet has not been wholly positive with comments such as:

“CoD is just trynna be Fortnite now. It’s sad, this is one of the major reasons why the game is failing.”

“I don’t understand the hype around spending at very least $20 for a gun skin.”

“Holy Fortnite. Can you not see some folks just want a slightly arcadey mil-sim.”

“They just type in “call of duty skin idea” into Chat GPT and come up with this random garbage lol”

It certainly seems as though Call of Duty Mobile is pivoting away from its roots as injecting this into a game takes away any semblance of realism for people who just want to play a game of electronic soldiers.

Somewhere along the way, it will still sell well. Unless it does turn out to be nonsense.

XDefiant Season 1 Patch Notes – everything that’s new and fixed https://prizeparagongames.net/xdefiant-season-1-patch-notes-everything-thats-new-and-fixed/ https://prizeparagongames.net/xdefiant-season-1-patch-notes-everything-thats-new-and-fixed/#respond Tue, 02 Jul 2024 11:48:49 +0000 https://prizeparagongames.net/?p=72357

XDefiant got off to a great start when it launched its trial Season 0 around six weeks ago. Time flies when you are having fun and we are finally at the main launch of Season 1 – Can Ubisoft’s themed shooter continue to fill the mid-year void of Call of Duty, and even set itself up to challenge the mighty franchise later in the year?

Time will tell, but for now, let’s take a look at what the Season 1 patch brings with it and pull out some key highlights.

XDefiant Season 1 Patch highlights

The patch is a sizable one – maybe not as big as many we have seen in the past but there are enough changes here to keep us honest.

Some of the things worth looking at for starters include the lowering of the XP threshold to speed up progression through the Battle Pass which seemed a tad slow in Season 0.

We have a new map, Clubhouse which features a two-storey building, and a new Capture the Flag game mode all alongside a decent number of balancing changes and the introduction of weapon mastery. Oh, and we get a nice new faction too – the GSK.

So, nothing groundbreaking, but a fair few things you would expect to find. Here are the patch notes in detail.

XDefiant Season 1 Patch notes
Gameplay

Changed the expiration timing of activated Boosters so their lifespan counts down only during match time, when you’re actually playing, rather than all the time, like when you’re folding laundry or whatever.

Lowered the XP threshold for each Battle Pass tier to give Battle Pass progression a little more pep.

Tuned Match Bonus XP rewards: MVP and Victory went from 2,000 to 1,000 XP. Draw went from 1,000 to 500. Completion doubled from 2,000 to 4,000 to encourage player stick-to-itiveness.

Answered a community ask to add a headshot icon to the Killfeed because it feels good to rub it in.

Factions

Added the GSK faction and their no-nonsense announcer: HQ.

These elite Team Rainbow operators from Germany’s Border Protection Command specialize in crowd control and securing territory. They can deploy electrified barbed wire for area denial, counter incoming enemy devices with their Active Defense System, and dazzle multiple foes with flash charges mounted on their G52-Tactical Shield ultra. Call them Grenzschutzkommando because it’s fun and also accurate.

Increased the cooldown of Echelon’s Intel Suit from 30 to 40 seconds.

Tuned the cooldown of the Phantoms’ Mag Barrier from 30 to 40 seconds. Mag Barrier hit points were also reduced from 500 to 400.

The Phantoms’ AEGIS now takes damage from EMP grenades (lob six to put it out of commission).

DedSec Hijack cooldown decreased from 28 seconds (plus the remaining duration of the hacked skill) to 20 seconds (plus the remaining duration of the hacked skill).

For example, let’s say a Mag Barrier has 7 seconds left and gets hacked: The cooldown becomes 20 plus 7 seconds. Failed Hijack cooldown, meanwhile, decreases from 8 to 5 seconds.DedSec’s Spiderbot cooldown increased from 25 to 40 seconds.

Adjusted Spiderbot behavior so multiple Spiderbots won’t attempt to hug the same face, nor will Spiderbots continue to ignore faces they’ve hugged multiple recent times. Some give and take from the Spiderbot kingdom.

Decreased the cooldown of Libertad’s BioVida Boost from 25 to 20 seconds.

Fixed Libertad’s Medico Supremo so it will no longer disappear after the deploying player respawns as a different faction.

Maps

Added the new Clubhouse map, a two-story hangout popular with international operators. Ideal for firefights in the short- to mid-range. Home to game modes Domination, Occupy, Hot Shot, and the new CTF.

Game Modes

Added Capture the Flag, hereafter referred to as CTF. For the uninitiated: You take the enemy’s flag from their base and bring it back to your own, while protecting your team’s flag. CTF is available on a variety of maps.

Weapons

Improved the hit flinch penalty incurred when being shot with a sniper rifle equipped.

These changes are intended to refine the behavior of hit flinch, prevent instances where the camera would move off the target with the first hit and back onto the target with the second, and improve the experience for players sensitive to wild camera movements. Here’s the nitty-gritty:The speed of the hit flinch camera transition has been increased by 25 percent. The camera will now always kick upward rather than up or down at random. The amount the camera will kick left or right has been increased by 3 times.Added the L115 sniper rifle, which is not quite as heavy as the TAC-50 and has faster handling, although it deals slightly less damage and is not as effective at penetrating cover.Added the LVOA-C, a snazzy customized rifle similar to the M4A1. It has a much faster rate of fire than the M4A1, but with that comes more recoil and less range. It also has slightly longer reload and equip times.Added the Sawed Off secondary weapon. This close-range version of the double-barreled shotgun packs a big boom for its size. Imagine carrying a primary weapon in your secondary slot and that’s this.Added new Mastery skins: Titanium Violet (unlocked at Weapon Level 300), Titanium Azure (unlocked at 350), and Titanium Prisma (unlocked at 400).Fixed weapons and optics shake in first-person view while using ADS.

Devices

Added a new and improved visual effect for the flash grenade (replacing the previous effect, which was…intense). The new effect is less retina-searing but still appropriately disorientating.

Removed an exploit where players could respawn with multiple devices after fiddling with the “Copy Loadout” option in the lobby, so nice try.

Audio

Tweaked the mix of in-game voices and sound effects for volume and clarity.

Miscellaneous

Players who participated in the Closed Beta were supposed to keep Kersey’s Dungaree skin. They didn’t but now they do.
